Andrea Bernadette and the Wall of Finer Things

jessethorn:

What is Bullseye with Jesse Thorn?

A guidebook to the world of culture. An interview show full of insights about where creativity comes from. An NPR show about stuff you actually care about. And also: actually fun.

If you’ve never listened, try the sampler above. It’s got Big Boi and Jeff Bridges and Dolly Parton and a bunch of other folks. Five minutes is all we ask. If you like it, head to iTunes and subscribe, free.

If you’re already a listener: share this sampler! Reblog and tell us and your friends and followers why *you* care about Bullseye. There’s no better time than the present.

I’ve been thinking about the thoughtful care that Jesse Thorn and company put into every episode of Bullseye.  Have you listened lately?  Highlights include:

  • Megafauna
  • Huey Lewis
  • The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations’ Millennium General Assembly
  • Lake Bell
  • Mobb Deep
  • etc. & so on and so forth.
  • Honestly, there’s something for your edification in every episode.

I mean, can we acknowledge how lucky we all are that this exists?  Show some gratitude, people!  As the above post states: it’s stuff you actually care about— like a Buzzfeed list that isn’t an insult to your intelligence.
I care about Bullseye because it’s created by smart, sensitive people that want to share the brightest corners of their lives.  The sincerity imbued in every segment is a wonderful deviation from the usual complaining about stuff in any available forum.  Like things, talk about them in a positive way, repeat— Bullseye has that shit on lock.  I want to feel involved in that conversation.

Share this with your friends and lovers— they will thank you for it.
